A little more about Genna…

When I reflect on a moment that I am proud of, I think of…
In Sept. 2021, GM Chair and CEO Mary Barra stood next to Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and committed $50M to nonprofits in Detroit. I helped shepherd that commitment, and I’m at the forefront of helping execute on it. I’m so proud to work for a CEO and company that recognizes the importance of bringing its communities along on our journey.

As I continue to grow, I am hopeful for…
The next generation. I have had the honor of working for some incredible leaders. I’m so excited to help cultivate the next generation of future leaders coming behind me, passing down a lot of those same principles that have served me well in the first decade of my career.

During my free time, I …
Travel! I caught the travel bug in college and have been to several countries, including Brazil for a friend’s wedding. I also golf and love being anywhere there is live music!

If I could give advice to my 20-year-old self, I would say…
Be confident in what you know, but curious in what you don’t. Ask for feedback consistently, from leaders and peers, that is how you will learn and grow.“
